HOW TO USE SVALBAD SAUNA
- Please bring two towels, one for sitting on when on the bench and one for drying off. Always use a towel under you when using a bench.
- Water for consumption is not available on the floating pier. Please bring your own drinking water.
- Alcohol is allowed in the sauna. Please read our FAQ for more information.
- Only use fresh water on the oven, never use salt water. There is fresh water available by the oven.
- Be mindful of other guests!

RULES
- The age limit for using SvalBad is 18. Children over the age of 10 can use SvalBad when accompanied by a parent or a guardian.
- No food is allowed in the sauna.
- Visibly intoxicated guests and guests who doesn’t follow the sauna guide’s requests will be denied entry and removed from the premises.
- Guests are responsible for their own safety in the sauna, and when swimming by the floating pier. Never swim alone.
- Do not leave any trash on the floating pier. Bring your waste with you when you leave!
SAFETY
- If you feel unwell, dizzy or sleepy while in the sauna, leave the sauna immediately.
- There is rescue equipment and first aid kits available on the floating pier.
- Never swim alone – The water is cold. Always have someone watching nearby when swimming in the water
- A secure bathing area is available by the ladder. The area is 1.5m deep and walled in for safety.
- You are responsible for your own valuables.

There is an unheated dressing room available outside of the sauna area.
Toilets
There are no toilets on the floating pier.
Showers
Showers with cold water is available outside of the sauna during the summer months.

2000NOK pr. group booking. (Maximum capacity of 14 people.)
Special request bookings for specific time slots outside of the available slots in our booking calendar have an additional cost of 500NOK.

Yes, you have to be 18 or over to use the sauna alone or with friends. Children over the age of 10 can use SvalBad when accompanied by a parent or a guardian.
Yes, SvalBad offers an unheated changing room where you also can store your belongings. Please do not bring luggage.
SvalBad offers showers with cold water outside of the sauna during the summer months.
SvalBad does not have any toilets available on the floating pier or in the Sauna.
Yes, you can bring alcohol. It is acceptable to bring 1-2 units of beer or wine when the whole sauna is booked by one group.
- Avoid bringing bottles and glasses that can break.
- Avoid colored fluids that can stain the decor.
- Waste should be brought with you when you leave.
No. Food at the SvalBad floating pier or in the sauna is not allowed.
Yes. You are able to cancel your booking for any reason. Please contact us at info@svalbad.no.
Please note the standard cancellation fees:
- 22 days or more before booking date: 5% of the full price
- From 21 – 8 days before booking date: 50% of the full price
- From 7 to 0 days before booking date: 100% of the full price.
Yes! Your booking can be cancelled due to weather conditions. If this happens you will receive a refund!
Yes, a rebooking can be made at a minimum 7 days prior to your original booking. Your new request must be available.
